Fail. Fail again. Fail harder. Just fail forward…

I lost 240lbs in 17 months. Before that I lost over 100 lbs. Twice. Yep I told you I lost over 100lbs twice before. But did I tell you about all the times in between when I lost 20, 40, 60 or 70 and regained that too?

If you think when you work really hard and sacrifice and suffer and commit and just make it to that weightloss goal you’ll stay there forever I’ve got some heart breaking news.

Success is rented not bought. You have to keep doing the same things you did to lose your weight if you want to keep it off.

I started a blog back in 2013. Wrote journals took weekly progress pics. I was on that journey from Sept until January. Then something happened. Dont remember what but at the time I’m sure it sounded like a good excuse to put off my journey.

Then I got pregnant a few years later.  Started again. Made it a few months. Stopped. Started. Stopped. Started. Stopped. Started. Became a single mom. Got a boyfriend. We broke up. Tried a new diet. Got stressed at work. Off and on. Off and on. Not just in my adult life but even in high school.

I was a continual starter and stopper.

It was always a temporary change.

Never took the time to work on healing. Never did the mental work it took to switch my mindset.

I kept my prior weightloss photo album and blog hidden.

Ashamed I put it out there then fell off track. Ashamed of how far I fell off. Ashamed I didn’t stick with it. Ashamed I was losing weight and making healthy choices and then for whatever reason I can’t even remember a few years later ended up over 400lbs

But I learned something. Took me literally 100s of attempts but eventually I learned and THAT deserves to be shared.

Yeah I did that. I gained all those lost pounds back and then some. Along with thousands of other people every year.

I’m not ashamed of my regains anymore because they were my lessons I needed to learn that led me here. Without the work that girl did. Without the heartbreak I put myself through back then. I WOULDNT BE WHERE I AM TODAY.

Fail. Forward. Guys.

Learn from your life lessons and you’ll get so much further then you ever dreamed possible.
